What is SocialBee: the short answer
SocialBee is a social media scheduler for small businesses, solo marketers and agencies. You sort posts into content categories, folders of posts that a weekly posting schedule draws from, and SocialBee publishes from them on that schedule. Plans start at $29 a month, billed monthly, for Bootstrap, as read on 7 October 2026; the SocialBee review covers all six.
SocialBee's buttons say "Sign up free" and "Get started for free", but it sells no free plan: what is free is a 14-day trial of the Pro plan.

You add posts to content categories, then add the categories to a weekly posting schedule. Each week SocialBee goes through that schedule and publishes approved posts from each category. Approved posts are shared at their time; a Draft waits until someone approves it.
Its calendar view shows scheduled posts by day, week or month. A post takes one posting time across all its profiles. A post with a specific time inside a scheduled category is shared twice, once at its time and again from the queue.
| Part | What it does | Which plans |
|---|---|---|
| Content categories | Folders the weekly schedule draws from | 10 on Bootstrap, 50 on Accelerate, unlimited on Pro |
| Evergreen and Share Once | Evergreen re-shares in a cycle; Share Once goes out once | Every plan |
| Expire | Ends a post after set shares or a date | Every plan |
| Universal Posting | A phone reminder where SocialBee cannot post; a person finishes | Every plan |
| Copilot | SocialBee says it builds a content strategy from a website address | No cap on AI generation, says its help center |
| Workspaces | A separate space for each client or brand | 1 on Bootstrap and Accelerate, 5 on Pro |
Evergreen, Share Once and expiring posts
An evergreen category re-queues its posts: SocialBee shares them one by one until the last, then starts again at the first. A Share Once category shares each post one time and suits seasonal promotions, launches and time-limited offers.
SocialBee's help center says a post in a share-once category is deleted after it is shared, while its expiry article says an expired post is archived and can be brought back from Post History.
A post can also expire after a set number of shares or on a date. Post variations are several versions of one post: an evergreen category publishes one variation each cycle, while a Share Once category shares only the first.
Copilot and AI captions
SocialBee says its Copilot AI assistant builds a content strategy and posts from a website address or a few answers. SocialBee's help center lists up to 5 generated categories for a workspace and up to 10 caption variations at once, and says that at the moment it does not limit AI generation on any plan, Pro included.
Networks, reminders and workspaces
SocialBee's pricing page lists direct posting to Facebook Pages, LinkedIn company pages, Instagram business accounts, Pinterest boards, YouTube channels, Google Business Profile locations and Bluesky profiles. Pages and LinkedIn personal profiles post directly; Facebook Groups and personal Facebook and Instagram profiles go by reminder.
Universal Posting covers networks SocialBee cannot post to: SocialBee sends a reminder to its mobile app, and a person finishes the post. Posting to Facebook Pages or Groups explains the split. A workspace is a separate space inside one account for one client or brand.
Pick SocialBee when posts should repeat by category on any plan. Pick Buffer for a queue you re-arrange or shuffle, or MeetEdgar for content categories with up to 20 team members on any plan; MeetEdgar alternatives compares five tools. To see the categories at work with your own posts, SocialBee offers a 14-day trial of Pro, described on SocialBee free trial.
